Exploring British Newspaper.


I explored the newspaper on 11th April 2008. The Newspapers that i explored was The Independent, The Gaurdian, Daily Telegraph and The Times.

1. The Independent Times:
a. According to this paper the top story of the day was "The New Age of Trains" , as it was written in Big bold Letters on the front page of the news paper, which was covering more than half of the page.
b. Surprisingly this news was not reported by any of the news papers explored by me.
c. As far as comments are concerned it is made in the favour of the public view and true facts are brought forward.
d. The Article is discussed i two point of views from government and public with help of exclusive graphical information.

2. The Guardian:
a. Article was on "Ministers under pressure to reopen BAE corruption probe", as this was return in Big bold letters and occupied more than quarter page.
b. No comments were made by The Indepent . Daily Telegraph has reported this news on front page but not as top story of the day as it reported other important news than this. The Times on the other hand published the same news on 4th page in detail along with funny cartoon.
c. Comment on the topic is probabilistic as its not known what will happen.
d. Article is explained in great dept to an extent of 2-3 pages.

3. Daily Telegraph:
a. Top news of the day was "Mortgage costs rise despite cut in Bank rate", which was printed in Big bold letters on front page covering quarter page.
b. This news was no published by The Independent , but The Times reported the same news as top story of the day also covering almost quarter page. The Guardian reported this story on front page but not as top story as the space given to the news was less than quarter page.
c. Comment were made which was on 4th page and comments were made in favour of people as true facts are brought forward by use of statistics.
d. Article is comprehensive and explained in detail along with statistics.

4. The Times:
a. An article is published on "Consumer Crunch", which is printed in Big bold letters as it is covering more than half of the front page.
b. No news were reported by The Indepent. Daily Telegraph the other hand reported this news under different heading on front page. The Guardian too reported this news on front page but not as top story and it devoted less than quarter page for this news.
c. Theirs more than one comment in Editorial section as each individual is expressing his own views on this topic.
d. Articles are always written keeping in mind the reader group. comments are always made n favour of people also news in much detailed in content.
